Hotel Del Coronado

Hope this dead baby sting ray doesn't freak you out! We'd never seen one like this before. Then - only in California do you see boats parked on the street or an iguana pet on the owner's shoulder.

Jim thought this was a pretty good deal for 6 of us - until he learned it would be per person!!! The room with the wood ceiling was constructed without one nail! When they made the room earthquake proof, they redid the outside of the room, so this ceiling and the walls are original.

This car is one of 5 cars in the home's lower level garage. The owner drives into the garage and a turntable turns the car around, so the owner never has to pull out backwards! The picture of the home is right below that picture. The home is right across from the beach and the Del Coronado. Following are pictures of a special Dr. Seuss statue exhibit at the hotel.
