Grand Canyon June 2009

It is hard to adequately describe the colors of the Grand Canyon or the experience of being there and taking time to enjoy God's creation. We hope this brief picture show will bless you!

Beautiful flowers were a nice surprise! It was spring in the canyon! We even saw 3 Condors of the 70, who live in the canyon. They are all marked. The wingspan is 9 1/2 feet! and they are about 3 feet tall. We saw the canyon rose bush/tree - lovely white flowers and the fairy duster is the first picture in thie section. The canyon does get very cold and can hand over 100 inches of snow, but we found prickly pear cactus there!

We loved our suite and rested well there and enjoyed the pool. the South Kabib trail is a goal for another time - too rainy this time. We love the scriptures that are a part of the Canyon Site!!!

We had a wonderful time in the canyon. The first day was beautiful and we took a long hike. The second day was rainy and very windy. We had prayed for rain, but the Lord blessed, yes, blessed us with rain. We could see the stormcoming and it made for wonderful pictures as seen above - the rocks showed more purple that the day before and by the time we left for the day, the sun was out! We were blessed!!!
